Winner of the “Festival of Tree” Fundraiser Donates Winnings to a Family in Need

Weiser Classic Candy Entrepreneur Scholarship fundraiser brought in hundreds of bids on the “Festival of Tree” event.  For weeks, folks have been sending in their bids and donating money to the scholarship fund.  The gorgeous tree was decorated in vibrant blue and silver decorations by Patrick, his staff, and their families.  Originally, the tree was going to be in the Festival of Trees annual event, however, that event was canceled this year along with many other fundraisers.  So, they decided to auction off their tree as a fundraiser for the WCC Scholarship fund.

The winner of the tree was Steven and Melissa Hale!  Upon hearing of their winning bid, the Hale’s wanted to donate the tree to a local family in need.  Rose Advocates was contacted, and they made a recommendation for a family in need.  Christy Maldonado and Mike Nauman came down to WCC with an ambulance to load and personally deliver the tree to the selected family as well as a Weiser City Fire Department truck came along to assist.  What a special delivery to a special family who needed the extra Christmas cheer this season!
