Friday, January 27th Governor Brad Little held a “Capital of the Day” in Weiser. The following officials joined Governor Little for discussion with the community:

- Idaho Department of Environmental Quality Deputy Director Kristin Ryan
- Idaho Department of Financial Management Administrator Alex Adams
- Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Director Dave Jeppesen
- Idaho Department of Fish and Game Regional Supervisor Josh Royse
- Idaho Department of Labor Director Jani Revier
- Idaho Department of Lands Division Administrator Mick Thomas
- Idaho State Department of Agriculture Director Chanel Tewalt
- Idaho State Police Lt. Colonel Sheldon Kelley
Community members of every age were able to ask questions and receive answers from Governor Little and other officials, including twelve year old Fynn Thompson, a 6th grader from Weiser Middle School. Thompson asked Governor Little what is the hardest part of governing Idaho, Governor Little responded, “Having to tell my friends no.” Gov. Little went on to say that there are so many more good things than hard things.
During the meeting Police Officer Austin Stratton was also honored for administering life saving measures he performed back in December. He was awarded the Valor Life Saving Award by VFW.
