Christine Greiner Bozarth passed away on February 10, 2022 in Weiser, Idaho.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Ernest Edward Greiner and Suzanne Greiner on July 7, 1944. She spent her early years in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey and was graduated from William Paterson College with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
Most of her adult life was spent in Mesa, Arizona. She taught in the Chandler School System for more than 30 years. Erie Elementary School was where she grew her love for teaching and working with children. She took many art and dance classes and helped teach her students about famous artists and their works. As an avid reader, she shared that joy with the other teachers and the students. She left many notebooks and journals filled with her dreams and hopes.
In addition to art, she adored cars, Nascar, and driving fast. I am sure that her sparkling blue eyes saved her many tickets.
Besides children, Christine loved birds. Some called her the Bird Lady. People brought her birds to care for, and at one time she was able to breed birds in her home. That home was often like an aviary with up to 20 birds of many varieties living with her.
When she needed more help and wanted to be with family, she moved to Weiser, Idaho. She met many wonderful caregivers and friends as she progressed in her illness.
Christine leaves her mother, Suzanne Zerr Greiner, her sister Ann Greiner (John Soojian) in North Carolina, and Wendy Martell (Frank) Weiser.
No services will be held at this time. If anyone wishes to make a donation, Christine would want it to be to Audubon or a bird organization.
