Community Council of Idaho 50th Anniversary Recognizes Key Members

The Community Council of Idaho, Inc is a nonprofit organization that has been making a difference in Idaho communities since 1971.  Now the largest nonprofit serving Latinos in the state, their purpose is to improve the social and economic status of local communities by assisting with workforce preparation, education, civil rights advocacy, and many other services.  Their mission is to strengthen families by offering opportunities in education, health, housing, employment, and legal services.

Every year, the organization gathers for a special event to honor those who devote their time to the mission of the Council in all three the regions.  Recently, the Community Council of Idaho began celebrating their 50th Anniversary.

Those recently recognized are featured in the photo above left to right:

Luis Gonzalez who has been a bus driver for CCI for 5 years.  Liset Lopez, Family Service Advocate, honored for 5 years of service.  Maria Negrete who is the Center Coordinator.  Irma Murin, CEO for Community Council of Idaho.  Oralia Madera, Infant Teacher, honored for 25 years working for CCI.  Maria Elvia Chavez, Infant Teacher, recognized for 5 years of service with the organization.

A big THANK YOU to the devoted individuals who continually serve the Latino population in Idaho.
