JEBS Corner Under New Ownership – Meet the Lopez Family

Daniel and Jessica Lopez knew they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to purchase a special place that holds so many special memories for them and the community, which is why the couple jumped on board with buying JEBS Corner from the Mattson’s.  On January 3rd, JEBS Corner announced the big news on social media.

The Mattson’s had purchased JEBS Corner back in April of 2020 with a solid 5-year plan with many goals they wanted to achieve.  Brenda Mattson shared to her Facebook page that many factors went into the decision to sell the business after such a short time.  She explained that their decision had nothing to do with the business itself, but personal health struggles that prevent them from being able to move forward.  Their transparency in their adjusted plans showed how they truly care for the business and the community.  While it wasn’t an easy decision, the Mattson’s are confident that the new owners will do amazing things with JEBS Corner.

Daniel and Jessica Lopez are locals currently living in Payette, Idaho.  Jessica was raised in Weiser and graduated from Weiser High School.  Daniel was raised in Payette and graduated from Payette High School.  Daniel is a United States Navy veteran, having served 6 years of active duty.  The couple married in 2014 and have lived and worked in Payette since.

“The reputation of JEBS is really what drew us to it.  Nostalgia is something that we take pride in keeping alive.  We have owned Minit Market in Payette for the last 6 years.  It’s always so heartwarming when those who have moved away come visit and make it a priority to come get chicken and jojo’s,” the couple shared.

Daniel and Jessica plan to improve a few things at JEBS Corner in the way of ingredient quality but overall, it will remain the same delicious burgers and shakes we have always loved.  They have launched an online ordering service at jebsweiser.com where customers can find a convenient way to order.  “We are excited to say that the dining room is now open!” they also shared.  Since the pandemic began, the dining room has been closed for service.  Patrons will be thrilled to be able to sit inside once again and indulge in their favorite treats.

The Lopez family is passionate about supporting local youth and giving back to the community. They look forward to being a part of the Weiser community and provide support where and when they can.  “We do appreciate the support and patience from our customers since we have taken over, and we are excited to see where JEBS takes us,” Jessica commented.  Follow their Facebook page for recent updates and information.
