May is National Electrical Safety Month, and Idaho Power is sharing ways to keep your home and loved ones safe:
- Inspect your power cords — including any outside — and replace damaged or frayed cords.
- Stay away from power lines when pruning trees, flying kites or drones, and just in general; assume all lines are energized and dangerous.
- Call 811 if you’re planning on digging in your yard. Call least two days before you wish to dig to locate underground utility lines for free.
