October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In honor of both, representatives of Angel Wings Network, Inc and Rose Advocates visited with Mayor Hibberd where he signed a proclamation for each.
Freedom From Abuse “A Bite at a Time”
Rose Advocates will be hosting their annual benefit dinner on October 2nd, 2023, at the Weiser Vendome Center. They will be serving prime rib of pork dinner at 7pm for $35.00 per person. There will be raffles, a silent auction, and door prizes! All proceeds from this event will go to victim services. For reservations call Rose Advocates at 208-414-1231. “Wear Pink Week”
Angel Wings Network, Inc invites everyone to join together to wear pink and show their support for cancer patients within our rural communities. Each year, the nonprofit hosts a walk/run event, which is happening on October 14th this year. The week of October 8th through the 14th has been proclaimed “Wear Pink Week” in support of breast cancer awareness. Register for the walk/run event on their website www.angelwingsnetwork.net.
