Meet the first baby born at Weiser Memorial Hospital in 2024!

Posted January 10, 2024

Weiser, ID – January 10, 2023: At 7:36AM on Tuesday, January 9, Quinn Lou Springer made her entrance into the world at Weiser Memorial Hospital (WMH). Quinn was anxious to meet her mommy and daddy, coming almost 2 weeks early! “She would’ve been a pretty big girl if she’d waited until her due date,” commented mom.

Quinn was 7 lbs 14 oz and 21.5 in long. She was welcomed to the world by parents Katie and Garrett Springer who are beaming with pride at her arrival. “She was born on my birthday,” Garrett mentioned with a mile-wide smile. He joked that his birthday parties will look much different from now on.

The family was presented with a lovely basket full of baby supplies and goodies donated by Xi Nu Sorority. Each year the sorority collects donations of new baby supplies from its members.

Xi Nu representative, Val Donicht said, “We each contribute to the basket.” The group enjoys celebrating the New Year’s Baby each year with the families.

Weiser Memorial Hospital always eagerly awaits the opportunity to be a part of each baby born at the facility. It is a chance to support local families and welcome a new member. Every baby born at WMH leaves with homemade items donated by the Friends of Weiser Memorial Hospital and the hospital has 2 spacious birthing suites equipped with everything needed for expectant families.
