In late July Casey Hopkins moved her family from Star to the Weiser area for a new beginning. Casey and her family fell in love with the laid back family oriented atmosphere and wanted a place like this to call home. Her sister-in-law, who owns the Pampered Pooch encouraged the move. Shortly following their move, Casey realized that it would be difficult for her to work while taking care of their special needs son, and so she began to review her options. She always had a passion for upholstering furniture but wanted to create a business, her business, so she could design and create her own unique pieces. One day while in her travels, she found a shop for rent and followed through with opening her own business, Casey Girl Designs. She has been doing this type of work for 5 years and loves working on generational pieces, furniture that has been in families for generations. That is her favorite type of work. By using her exceptional skills of combining colors and patterns and experienced sewing skills, she can create beautiful one-of-a-kind vintage furniture pieces that families will be proud to pass down from generation to generation. She puts her heart into every piece she creates. It is her dream to introduce artists from the Boise area that she knows to the Weiser area, yet opening up more options for both customers and vendors alike. Casey does have a website you can visit caseygirldesigns.com or stop by her shop at 21 W. Idaho Street in Weiser. Her hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm.
