New Helping House Opens its Doors to Provide Essentials for the Community

Posted January31, 2024

FRUITLAND, January 2024 – Fruitland School District is proud to announce the grand opening of our new helping house, The Grizzly Corridor, a community-focused initiative aimed at providing essential items to those in need. This initiative aligns with our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in Fruitland and beyond.

The helping house will offer a wide range of essential items, including clothing, food, school supplies, and personal hygiene items. The goal is to create a welcoming and accessible space where community members facing economic challenges can access the necessities they require for daily living.

Key features of the Grizzly Corridor include:

● Clothing Section: A curated selection of Fruitland School Uniform clothing items for all ages, ensuring that everyone has access to clean and appropriate attire.

● The Food Corner: Stocked with a variety of food items, the helping house aims to alleviate food insecurity within the community.

● School Supplies Station: Equipped with essential school supplies, this section aims to support students and their families as they navigate the academic year.

● Personal Hygiene Essentials: From toiletries to basic personal care items, the helping house is dedicated to promoting hygiene and well-being.

Fruitland Schools is excited to collaborate with local organizations, charities, and volunteers to make this initiative a success. We believe that by working together, we can create a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of our community.

The grand opening event will take place on February 5, 2024, 1:00pm to 5:00pm, at 7233 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Fruitland, ID. Robin Christensen, the Grizzly Coordinator is working with individuals and organizations interested in donating, volunteering, and will be available for community members to tour the helping house and learn more about the resources available.

We invite members of the media to join us at the grand opening and share this uplifting story of community support. For press inquiries or additional information, please contact:
