Pop-Up Makers Market at The Metropole! Now Accepting Applications for Handcraft Creators

The public is invited to a Pop-up Makers Market hosted by The Metropole and presented by Makers for Makers by Lala Magpiong.  Mark your calendars for February 12th, 10am to 3pm.

The dream all started for Lala Magpiong in beautiful, sunny New Mexico in a small town called Truth or Consequences with a population of about 6,000 people.  Founded on the idea of bringing local creative folks together to share their art, inspire others, and bring the community closer together, the Makers for Makers organization was built.  With live music, food trucks, and handcrafters of all kinds, the event was a big success.

So, what brought Lala to Idaho?  “My son and I relocated to Idaho to be close to my mom,” she shared.  With the original dream in tow, the upcoming Pop-up Makers Market is scheduled and ready to accept applicants.  “We believe in supporting the success of skilled makers and small brands, fostering community through partner relationships, and creating meaningful and memorable marketplaces that showcase a variety of creative talent,” states a quote from the website www.makersformakers.com.

To apply as a vendor, visit the website and fill out an application.  Makers for Makers is looking for handcraft creators, independent artists, photographers, original art, and high-quality goods.  As part of the application and promoting process, Magpiong asks for a “makers story”, which consist of why people create what they do.  She shared that the artists always share beautiful stories that touch her heart in so many ways.  Promoting these stories form lasting connections with other creators, community members, and customers.

Lala shared that she is excited to continue creating marketplace gatherings as she explores new ideas and new locations in Idaho.  Right now, she is a one-woman show, working hard to call different places to inquire about locations, artists, and the like.  She strives to keep the website updated with event dates, information, and testimonials. “We are driven to collaborate with inspiring community partners as an opportunity to host pop-up marketplaces in new spaces with unique vibes.”

The event will take place at The Metropole, 339 State St., Weiser, Idaho on February 12th, from 10am to 3pm.  The booth fee is $40.00 and the deadline to apply is January 31st.  To submit an application, visit www.makersformakers.com.  Also follow on Facebook and Instagram @makersformakers
