Weiser, ID (June 8, 2022)
Weiser Memorial Hospital (WMH) announces the beginning of a distance learning program for radiology technology. WMH is partnering with Linn Benton Community College (LBCC) in Albany, OR to offer this educational career opportunity here in Weiser beginning immediately.
“We are so excited to offer this opportunity for our local communities. Students can pursue an amazing career and still stay local,” commented Noa Towner, Radiology Manager for Weiser Memorial Hospital. She went on to say, “we can grow our own and present a new field of study for those interested in science and healthcare.”
Those interested would need to complete pre-requisites at Treasure Valley Community College, then apply for the program. Once they are accepted, they will spend their first year of radiology school online through Linn Benton Community College with one day a week in the Radiology Department at WMH. Year two would include 36 hours a week in the WMH Radiology Department as an externship for the program. Some travel for final exams would also be expected.
Anyone who would like more information is encouraged to contact Noa Towner at 208-549-4414.
