Weiser Lions Donate $1,000 To WHS Robotics Team

By Dorothy Evans

The Weiser Lions were pleased to donate $1,000 to Weiser High School’s Robotics Team H.I.V.E. for their trip to Dallas for the World Robotics Competition. The check was presented to the team on March 25th at the Weiser Lions’ charter party celebrating the club’s 93rd year in existence.

Earlier in the week, Jayden Anderson, William Stallings, Xavier Gonzales and Kade Hill
of Team H.I.V.E. and their teacher, Jon Lundberg, visited the Weiser Lions at their
meeting and gave a demonstration of their robot. The team also spoke of their
experiences during the school year and at State. The Lions were so impressed that
they voted to donate $1,000 for the team’s trip to Dallas.

The Weiser Lions earned the money by working the concession stand at Weiser’s home football games. The Lions were delighted to donate the money back to the students.

Good luck in Dallas, team H.I.V.E.
