Lincoln Day Dinner

Posted February 1, 2024

The Washington County Republican Central Committee hosted a great event last week to celebrate the creation of the Republican party and to honor President Abraham Lincoln. Friday evening was their annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Vendome.

What a turnout! Thank you to all who came out in support of our GOP Central Committee.

We were given a presentation by Darr Moon on the importance of mining in our great state. If we were able to mine the precious minerals the gem state holds, we could be free of most of our reliance on Federal government funding. Mining in Idaho is imperative to protecting our country. As one example of many, Idaho has significant deposits of antimony which is used in munition manufacturing for our military. We must reduce our reliance on other countries, especially China, for the materials needed to protect America.

We also got to hear from Idaho Republican Party chairwoman Dorothy Moon on what it means to be a Republican. It was a very positive message encouraging Republicans to get involved and to keep Idaho Red! Dorothy has an excellent Conservative vision for the Republican Party and the great state of Idaho.

A huge shout-out to all of the committee members who took part in making this event such a success! Their hard work is very much appreciated. We need to support our local Republican Central Committee and one critical way to support them is to show up to their monthly meetings, get informed and get involved.
