PAYETTE – An email was sent out about 4:40 on Thursday, December 7th by Superintendent Dr. Glenn Croft regarding changes in administration within all schools at Payette Schools.
MCCAIN – Ms. Amanda Smith, Principal, will move to be a district wide coach for new teachers, as well as assisting schools in testing needs. Payette Primary Kipp McKenzie will fill in as McCain Principal starting January 2024.
PAYETTE PRIMARY – Ms. Leslie Burns, current Assistant Elementary Principal, will fill in Mr. McKenzie’s spot as the new Payette Primary Principal.
Mr. Jacob Williams, current Payette High School Principal, will move to be Assistant Principal, supporting the Primary and McCain.
Mr. Greg Hale will transition to Westside to serve as the administrator for the remainder of the year, coordinating with Ms. Burns.
PAYETTE HIGH – Mr. Kurt Taylor, current Vice Principal, will be the interim Principal of Payette High School. Mr. Jeremy Burgess will also fill the position of Interim Dean of Students to help assist Mr. Taylor.
WESTSIDE ELEMENTARY WILL BE CLOSING – EFFECTIVE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR (2024-2025)
4th Grade will move to the Primary (Pre-4) and 5th Grade will move to McCain (5-8). The building will then be used as a community center. This includes a centralized location to meet the needs of the community in offering a food pantry, clothing center, counseling offices and dental/medical service resources. This building will also be used as additional District Offices as needed.
