Please tell your Legislators to Fully Fund Idaho’s Medicaid Expansion.
Dear Editor,
In 2018, 61% of Idahoans voted for Medicaid Expansion. Now in the middle
of the COVID-19 Pandemic Declaration of Emergency, our Governor and
Idaho Legislators want to leave 100,000 Idahoans out in the cold. Without
health coverage for their families. In this year, when the Idaho Budget has
a huge surplus, our legislators want to cut nearly all the funding for the
program. Medicaid Expansion provides the State of Idaho an alternative
avenue to healthcare coverage with 90% of the cost covered by the Federal
Government with a State of Idaho match of 10% of the funding each year.
Medicaid Expansion has given an opportunity to over 100,000 Idaho
families with no health insurance, struggling with job loss or struggling
small business owners to qualify for Healthcare at low or no cost. This has
been a huge relief to some families during this Pandemic. Tell your
Legislators to listen to the people of Idaho and Fully Fund Medicaid
Expansion. Stop fooling around with our healthcare once and for all.
Legislators will begin hearing proposals this week so please, email or call
them and ask for Medicaid Expansion to be fully funded. Thank you!
